Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.

Who They Are

Your 3-6 year old is a curious and active explorer.

They love to move, play, manipulate, and discover. They use all of their senses in learning, whether they’re building a puzzle, imitating you in the kitchen, or chasing butterflies outside.

Our Montessori program provides your child with a rich and engaging environment in a child-centered and home-like environment. The mixed age learning group allows your child to learn from others who are older and be as role model for others who are younger, creating a collaborative community of learners where each child’s efforts are respected and celebrated.

With gentle guidance and support from our mentors, the Montessori approach to learning offers plenty of freedom and opportunity for your child to work independently to explore the activities that interest them, boost their confidence and abilities, and curate a strong sense of self-awareness, internal motivation, and independence.

Islamic themes, social emotional regulation, and character building are woven throughout the curriculum for this age group, helping your child build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Core Disciplines

Morning Mindset

“Your life is a direct reflection of your dua.” –Shaykh Muhamamd Al-Shareef

Morning Mindset sessions start the day with Islamic discussions that instilling character and build identity.

Practical Life

“Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed.” ― Maria Montessori

Purposeful, real-life activities that help develop your child’s coordination, control, concentration, and a sense of responsibility to themselves and their environment.

SENSORIAL ACTIVITIES

“Tell me, and I forget. Teach, and I remember. Involve me, and I will learn.” —Benjamin Franklin

Your child will explore and experimenti with their senses through activities and exercises that help them learn how to organize their environment, classify objects, use logic, as well as teach about perspective, discrimination, and order.

EXPLORING LITERACY AND NUMERACY

“Our work is not to teach, but to help the absorbent mind in its work of development.” —Maria Montessori

Learning about numbers and letters should be fun, active, and engaging! Montessori literacy and numeracy activities focus on building your child’s oral language skills, encourage natural reading and writing development, and hands-on, incremental mathematics understanding.

Nature Studies

“Verily, among the best servants of Allah are those who observe the sun, the moon, the stars, and the shades for the remembrance of Allah.” – Hasan hadith reported in Sunan Al-Bayhaqi.

To study nature is to study many disciplines, including science, history, art, Islam, and more! Nature Studies aims to connect your child with Allah’s creation and the wider world around them. Learning here focuses on the changing seasons, physical geography and landscapes, understanding living and non-living things, animals, plants, and the laws that make up the natural world.

ARTS AND CULTURE

Integrated throughout the curriculum are a variety of arts and cultural experiences to enhance your child’s learning, allow exploration with new tools and ideas, and build their skills.

INDEPENDENT WORKING BLOCKS

With the Montessori method, your child will benefit from both group learning and independent working blocks that are fueled by the child's unique interests and abilities. This deeply intentional balance helps your child to progress through a variety of subjects at their own pace, allowing freedom and flexibility within a structured framework built on respect for your child and love of learning.

QUIET TIME

Our Quiet Time sessions allow your child much needed time to wind down and rest, either by napping when tired or engaging in quiet, relaxing time.

I have definitely seen growth in my son since he started with Wildflower. He used to hate going to school and now he gets up on his own without a problem. He loves going to co-op and is finally getting over his separation anxiety.
