Meet Our Founders

Christina + Melissa

Melissa and Christina began homeschooling together when they decided to turn Christina’s backyard into a kids’ Summer gardening project. Together, they organized and hosted weekly gardening lessons and activities for local homeschooled children, including their own.

Since that time, their shared passion for all things homeschool has kept them learning and working together, organizing and participating in a variety of groups, classes and activities for homeschooled families across NJ.

In 2019, they co-founded Wildflower Homeschool Collective to create a welcoming community that promotes organic learning, discovery, and faith.

When the project began, it was just a handful of families meeting at Christina’s home once a week. Years later, the Wildflower Cooperative now functions as 3-day model serving up to 75 homeschooled children, from the ages of 3 and 17, with a balance of core disciplines, enrichment courses, and more.
