Wildflower is excited to announce a beautiful new elective for the 2025-2026 cooperative year: Qur'an Pilot.

Qur'an Pilot will function as a 3-day/ week hifdh elective for Wildflower mentees aged 10-17 (middle school and older).

Led by Instructor Asma "Umm Tariq" Hassan, Qur'an Pilot aims to nourish children's love and respect for the Noble Quran with daily readings and a focus on memorization and implementation of the rules of tajweed.

With gentle, yet strategic guidance from the instructor and Qur'an Pilot team, children will be encouraged to set individual goals for their hifdh and be supported in memorizing at their own pace, inshaAllah.

Our Qur'an Pilot Elective is an ideal elective for Wildflower mentees who:

• Are enrolled in our Innovators and Pathfinders groups. 😎

• Have a strong desire to learn the Qur'an and memorize it. ❤️‍🔥

• Are able to read the Qur'an in Arabic from any page. 📖

• Enjoy creating personal goals and working to achieve them. ✅

• Have already memorized at least from Surah Ad-Duhaa until the end of the Qur'an. ✨

• Would love to memorize Qur'an in the company of Qur'an-loving friends. 🤩

• Are passionately motivated and ready to commit to working on their hifdh for the cooperative year. 💪

Qur'an Pilot Elective Schedule:

At Co-Op (5 hours per week):

Tuesdays: 2-4pm

Wednesdays: 3-4pm

Thursdays: 2-4pm

At Home:

An additional 20-60 minutes per day for practice and review (this range is to allow for flexibility of individual children's abilities)

Qur'an Pilot Elective Cost:

$1,171 per child for the year (includes online processing fees)

• Fee due in full at start of the co-op year.

• It can also be broken up into 10 monthly payments and added onto your monthly co-op tuition invoice.

• Once your child is registered for Qur'an Pilot, your commitment is for the entire year.

Potential Qur'an Pilot Siblings

We understand that enrolling older children into Quran pilot may create difficulties for families with younger siblings to care for. Currently, there is no Qur’an program for younger siblings. However, we are brainstorming ways to create an additional program for them in the future.

If you would be interested in enrolling younger WHC siblings into an adapted Qur’an Pilot program, please indicate that on the registration form and let us know how many younger siblings you would consider.

Please note: there are no guarantees at this time that a program for younger siblings would happen during the 2025-2026 cooperative year.

Important Details About Qur'an Pilot Registration:

1. Qur'an Pilot will have a maximum enrollment of 10 children.

2. Registration for Qur'an Pilot will be on a first-come, first serve basis.

3. Enrollment in Qur'an Pilot is an up-front, full year commitment (Sep-Jun), for all times and days of the schedule listed above.

4. Enrollment in the Qur'an Pilot elective replaces enrollment in other electives offered by Wildflower during the 2025-2026 cooperative year. If, when elective registration opens, your Qur'an Pilot child wants to take an elective on either Tuesday or Thursday, family commitment for the Qur'an Pilot Program remains and fees for Qur'an Pilot will still be due.
