Maple Sugaring Discovery Day
Maple Sugaring Discovery Day
This event is for CURRENTLY ENROLLED FAMILIES ONLY. You must be enrolled for the 2022-2023 homeschool year in order to participate in this program.
Join us for an educational outdoors adventure at Howell Living History Farm as we:
tap trees for maple sap,
split firewood to fuel the evaporator that will help boil our sap into syrup,
and use farm-milled flour to make our own homemade pancakes just like farmers did in 1900.
Space is limited to 75 people, including children and adults. Due to space limitations, registration will be offered to currently enrolled children and 1 accompanying parent first. IF there are still spaces available after that, we can open to additional children or parents as we are able to.
Upon arrival, attendees will be split into smaller groups of up to 25 persons.
NOTE: This is an outdoors program. Make sure to dress in warm Winter clothing with solid shoes you do not mind getting wet, snowy, or muddy.
